If you’re a sun worshipper there’s a new place to catch the rays.
London’s largest urban beach is back for its fifth year, offering a tiny taste of the seaside at the western end of the Royal Docks until August 31.
The stretch of sandy beach provides a free space for those who want to relax in deckchairs, enjoy ice creams or build sandcastles.
As in previous years, swimming in the water is not allowed and the beach opening hours are 10am-8pm Monday to Sunday.
The urban beach is part of the Royal Docks summer festival, Join The Docks, which is also offering an evening of truffle making, an interactive and immersive experience on Thursday, 1 August, from 7pm-9pm at the RAW Labs near Galyons Bar. The cost is £25.
More details on the truffle event and others, including a Supper Club at Albert Wharf and the I Love BV Summer Fun Day, are here.
